One by one is what happens in a canon. One by one the musicians come in and repeat the opening statement until it builds to something full and then falls back. These six canons for string sextet aim to move the listener to a comfortable place where they can relax in musical repetition.

My third String Concerto, in B minor, aims to emulate a feeling in the styles of Prokofiev and Alexander Borodin. If only I could get as close to their brilliant styles.
